Advanced Audition Technique for Professional Actors [register now]
Anne Hering, Director of Education, will offer monologue and prepared scene coaching for theater auditions. Actors may bring material of their own choosing or request monologue suggestions. Pay as you go, $15.00 per class.

Film and TV Workshop with Rus Blackwell
Acting Technique and Working on Camera [register now]
Rus Blackwell, one of the southeast's most respected actors and sought after acting coaches, will host this day long intensive workshop. The focus of the workshop is an organic approach to the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the actor's process and working on camera. This is a terrific workshop for both stage and film actors. Participants will learn how to get the most out of an audition and work on what it takes to do the job once they've booked it. The class will provide the more experienced actors with an excellent workout as well as a chance to stretch and improve their skills. Those just getting started will be introduced to techniques that will help craft a solid process and provide the fundamentals they need to start building on. Actors will benefit greatly from Rus' no nonsense, real world experience take on the "business."

Methods of Teaching Shakespeare to Secondary English or Drama Teachers [register now]
Director of Education Anne Hering will lead an exploration of methods that enable today's students to handle Shakespeare's language. Topics to be covered will include Universal themes, Prose and Poetry, Rhetoric and Argumentation, the necessity of understanding Shakespeare's Time and Education, techniques for reading Shakespeare aloud and simple methods of staging scenes. This course will assist any teacher who covers Shakespeare to engage all levels of learners in the unit. Course may be taken for Professional Development Credit.

Beginning Acting for Adults [register now]
If you've always wanted to act but were afraid to try, this is the class for you! In this relaxed class, students will work on scenes from contemporary plays. You will get memorization tips, begin character analysis and learn basic theater staging terminology. Scenes will be assigned by the instructor.

Shakespeare’s Character Clues [register now]
For experienced actors. Acting Shakespeare isn’t difficult if you follow the clues he has left for us. By examining punctuation and rhetorical devices such as alliteration, assonance, antithesis and parenthesis students will leave this class with a Shakespeare speech that is performance or audition ready.

Intermediate Acting for Adults [register now]
In this class, intermediate actors will learn how to determine why a character says what she does. Using basic script analysis of objectives, obstacles and tactics, actors will score their scenes into beats and learn how to rehearse a scene.
