The Associate Board is an organization of volunteers who share a passion for Shakespeare, theatre, and the arts. Its purpose is to support the Orlando Shakespeare Theater by organizing cast and crew parties, raising funds through special events, and increasing awareness of the Theater within the community.
Some of the benefits and commitments for members of the OST Associate board include:
- Attending all Orlando Shakespeare Theater plays through a season subscription
- Sponsoring all the opening night cast and crew parties for all shows. Come join us for a private party with the cast and crew!
- Sponsoring the "Shakespeare Bowlathon" to provide tickets to groups that otherwise could not afford tickets through Partners in Literacy (such as the Coalition for the Homeless, Center for Drug Free Living, AIDS Network and other groups). Last year's Bowlathon raised over $3,500.
- Attending monthly Associate Board meetings and meeting the staff and creative team of the Orlando Shakespeare Theater
- Creating community awareness of the Orlando Shakespeare Theater

The
Associate Board attracts professionals from the business community and
supporters of Orlando Shakes who have a strong sense of fun, who cannot
make the financial commitment necessary for the main board, or who may
be future board members.
