"If you seek a cold-weather counterpart to the summer theater festivals that dot the American landscape, this miniseason…is more than worth your time. "

Romeo and Juliet

January 25 - March 17, 2012

Written by William Shakespeare
Directed by Thomas Ouellette

Run time: 2 hours 30 minute with an intermission.

Pure and passionate, tempestuous and true – the feverish intensity of youth explodes in the most enduring love story of all time. Through the hate of warring factions, in defiance of their families and in secrecy from their closest friends, young lovers risk everything to be together. Shakespeare's masterpiece has never been so captivating, or so dangerous, as in this stirring new production. [A note from the Director]

Content Advisory: Suitable for teens and adults, Romeo and Juliet contains graphic violence and strong sexual innuendo. Concerned parents and theatergoers may want to call the Box Office for more information.

Audiences are saying...

"Absolutely the very best performance of R&J I've ever seen! Actually cried at the end."

"Amazing! Just when I thought I'd seen the best performance of my life, you prove me wrong with the next one!"

"Pre-performance discussion so interesting....play one of the best I've seen....the costumes gorgeous, young lovers' passion totally believable...."
