Supplies have been delivered for the renovation of our Margeson Theater, which has just begun! Our talented team is gearing up to replace the stage flooring, as we give it a fresh, new look. We are also in the process of updating our unit floor.

“This unit floor is going to be more modular, that way it is easier to fix in the future and is more accessible,” said Alex K, technical director. “This past floor was meant for only one season, and it has now been four seasons past due. So this update is long overdue.”

We are also wrapping up renovations on our Goldman Theater. Both Goldman and Margeson stages are being completely remodeled, as they have not been replaced since 2001. Some of the materials that have been delivered thus far for our renovations include:

• 56 sticks – 1x6x16 (framework for platforms)
• 265 sticks – 2x4x16 (framework for platforms)
• 120 sheets – ¼ in. maso (top layer of stage)
• 90 sheets – ¾ in. regular ply (covers Goldman stage and unit floor for Margeson)
• 215 sheets – ¾ in marine ply (for Margeson – can last another 15-20 yrs; waterproof, strong, structural)
• Box steel (platform for lift)
