Margeson Theater Updates
Next up for OST Renovations ‘24: Our Margeson Theater!
Our scene shop has completely removed the stage that has been in place since 2001 and is currently in the process of ripping out the flooring in the theater.
“Today we’re wrapping up the removal of the old stage floor to prepare for the installation of our new base,” said Hannah Kleinpeter, assistant technical director. “Jamie is cutting up the wood that needs to be removed from the floor and Bre is removing the old wood from the stage trap so that it can be replaced. Once we finish this, we’ll reconstruct our new unit floor, which will go on our Margeson stage.”
For this reconstructed stage, our team is putting in place marine ply, a strong and structural type of wood that will allow our Margeson stage to last another 15-20 years!
