We mourn the loss of John Lowndes, Orlando Shakes’ long-time friend and supporter, and are filled with gratitude for all the assistance he gave to the Orlando arts community throughout his life. He will always be remembered warmly for his philanthropic leadership and altruism.

It was through his generosity that Orlando Shakes was able to move to our current home in Loch Haven Park, the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center. John’s legacy will live on, both on our stage and in our hearts.
