Lowndes Shakespeare Center Rental Venues
*All venues require a 4-hour minimum
Our facility has four theater spaces, a large lobby, a patrons room, and outdoor courtyard. All spaces are configurable to suit your event’s needs.
Mandell Studio Theater
The Mandell Studio Theater is a 100-seat proscenium style black box space. The stage is typically 22’ 11” deep by 30’ wide. Rental includes general wash lighting and use of the soundboard.

Santos Dantin Studio Theater
Santos Dantin Studio Theater is a 65-seat flexible black box space. The venue is typically set in three quarter thrust, but can be adjusted to other layouts. The stage is typically 23’ 5” deep by 21’ 3” wide. Rental includes general wash lighting and use of the soundboard.

Dr. P. Phillips Patrons’ Room
The Dr. Phillip’s Patrons Room is a circular reception and meeting room. The room has a 25’ high dome ceiling and can accommodate between 80 and 125 guests depending on layout. (Decorations not included)

Darden Courtyard
The Darden Courtyard is an outdoor courtyard past the front entrance of the Shakespeare Center, now covered by a tent and illuminated with market lights. The area can accommodate up to 250 guests depending on the layout.
