Nyeshia Naomii debuted on the Orlando Shakes stage as the Nell Carter standby in Ain’t Misbehavin’ last season. Other recent central Florida favorites include Rosa: Respect – A Musical Journey of Women, 8 track: The Sounds of the 70’s (Winter Park Playhouse), Sour Kangaroo: Seussical the Musical, Savannah: Freaky Friday, Three Little Birds (Orlando Family Stage), Music hall singer: Violet (Garden Theatre), Chiffon: Little Shop of Horrors (Tierra Del Sol) and the debut opening show The Color Purple (Theater West End). One of her performance highlights is performing for Joyful: A Gospel Celebration of the Season at Walt Disney World’s Epcot as well as a featured background vocalist to the touring tribute show Aretha: Portrait of a Queen.
