Roy Hamlin

With an MFA in Directing from University of Georgia, Roy has theatre credits in regional, civic, and educational programs throughout the southeast and off-Broadway. He was Associate Artistic Director for over a decade at Theatre Under The Stars in Houston, where BEAUTY & THE BEAST, JEKYLL & HYDE, and the Kopit/Yeston PHANTOM made their starts. A central Florida native, he is primarily known as an actor in this market—with well-reviewed performances in THE INHERITANCE and THE VIBRATOR PLAY at the Ensemble and ORIENT EXPRESS at the Ritz within the past two seasons. Local directing credits include two seasons of Scripts from Scratch at the Sharon Studio/Tierra del Sol. He is grateful to join Shakes and an inspiring company in such a terrific script.
