Russell has over four decades of performing and directing in book musicals, reviews and theme park shows. Over the last 20 years, Russell has been working in theme parks managing and directing performers. Notably, Russell has performed at the Straz Center (Tampa) and Kravis Center (West Palm Beach) as Jinx in Forever Plaid. Some of his favorite roles in regional theaters across the county include Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors, Che in Evita, The Baker in Into the Woods, Huck in Big River and Al in A Chorus Line. At Walt Disney World, he originated the role of Clopin in The Hunchback of Notre Dame- A Musical Adventure, and had principal roles in The Hoop Dee Doo Review and the Indiana Jones Stunt Specular. Most recently, he has directed Cabaret for Osceola Arts and A Little Night Music with Alamo City Opera (San Antonio). He also has appeared in several seasons at CFCArts in Company, Man of La Mancha, Into the Woods and The Music Man.
