Internships

Our Summer Education Internship offers early career teaching artists the opportunity to gain experience in the Education Department of a professional theater. Interns assist in teaching summer camps, supervising lunch breaks, planning curriculum, and writing Curriculum Guides for our season. Interns receive training workshops in curriculum and career planning. This is a volunteer position, with no stipend. Summer Education Interns are needed from June through the beginning of August. Positions are available for the entire nine weeks or for portions of the summer.

Summer Education Interns:

• Must have their own housing
• Must have their own car
• Must be 18 years of age or older

We estimate that the Summer Education Interns spend their time as follows:

• 40% assisting teaching
• 40% supervising lunch break activities
• 20% writing curriculum guides or providing administrative support

Our Administrative interns are bright, curious, and self-motivated individuals with basic training and experience in theater who are committed to strengthening their skills and talents.

Interns undertake responsibilities as members of the staff, contribute ideas, participate in department and staff meetings, and complete projects under the guidance of their supervisors. Interns also participate in professional workshops and seminars, which provide contact with theater staff, guest artists, and members of the Central Florida arts community.

Part Time (20 hours) and Full Time (40 hours) internships available for qualified applicants in Development, Marketing and Communications, and Finance. Administrative internships are unpaid.
