About This Production
“Two stars keep not their motion in one sphere.” King Henry IV attempts to pass on his knowledge of the kingdom in vain, while his reckless son, Prince Hal, squanders his youth at the taverns with the antically funny Falstaff and his lowbrow comrades. When a fierce rival threatens the throne, will the young prince rise to the occasion?

The final performance of will occur March 15. All tickets scheduled for March 18 – 22 will be automatically converted to an account credit allowing you to either use it for another show during this season or any show in the upcoming 20-21 season. Patrons who wish to turn their tickets to tax deductible donations, may email us at boxoffice@orlandoshakes.org. Account credit will be valid through May 1, 2021. Additionally, if you wish to exchange a cancelled performance ticket for this weekend’s performances, please contact the box office.

Henry IV, Part 1 is part of Orlando Shakes’ Fire and Reign series, a seven Shakespeare production journey through history over three seasons covering the Rise of Henry V and the Wars of the Roses, from Richard II – Richard III.
Patrons who see Orlando Shakes’ Henry IV, Part 1, Bare Bard: Henry IV, Part 2, as well as the UCF Celebrates the Arts reading of Henry V, will earn a limited-edition “I saw the Rise of Henry V” dog tag.
